Matt Marsh is Creative Director at consultancy firm Firsthand Experience. An expert in customer-centred innovation, he believes that all enterprises need to place real human concerns at the beginning of their product and service development activities – and in so doing will make their innovation process more purposeful and effective. Prior to setting up Firsthand Experience, Matt headed up the human factors design research department at IDEO in San Francisco before becoming Marketing Director and Studio Leader of it product and service innovation team in London. He is a visiting professor at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication in Greenwich, and serves on the Professional Affairs Board at the Institute for Human Factors and Ergonomics. He has also been a user-centred design and innovation envoy at the Design Council.
